Marriott Grande Ocean Pool
Staying at the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort in Hilton Head offers a great location off of S Forest Beach Road and beautiful ocean views. Add in the Beginning the indoor heated Marriott Grande Ocean Pool and the four (4) outdoor pools, and the water fun never ends. No matter where your 2-Bedroom Villa is located in the Resort, you are always close to one of the outdoor pools. Having an indoor heated pool that is central to all of the Villas is also a nice touch. No matter what time of year you visit, accessing a pool at the Marriott Grande Ocean is a true delight.
Time on the Beach
Of course, when staying at an Oceanfront Resort, it is wonderful to walk a couple of hundred feet, down the wooden path to the sand. The pristine white sand is waiting to comfort your feet as they sink into the Hilton Head warmth. Closer to the crashing waves, the sand is hard-packed and great for long walks or a bike ride along the Atlantic shores.
Pool Information at the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort:
- Pool Hours: Daily 7am – 10pm
- Pools: The Grande Ocean Resort has a total of four (4) outdoor pools, and a heated indoor pool. No matter where you stay at the resort, a pool will be nearby. If you want to have views of the ocean while enjoying your time at the pool, you will want to settle into the North or South pool. These pools also have sundecks overlooking the beach. The Dolphin pool has multiple lagoon type sections to have more secluded areas in one single pool. Of course the lap pool is also a great option if you are working on your exercise through the day and it is away from most of the crowds.
- Childrens Pool: A shallow children’s pool is located by the Dolphin Pool
- Zero-entry: It might come as a surprise but none of the pools offer a zero-entry
- Hot Tubs: You will find multiple hot tubs around the different pool areas
- Towels: Towels are not provided at the pools and must be brought from your room.
- Cabanas: Cabana Rentals are available for rent around all three (3) pools

South Pool - Oceanfront Pool at the Hilton Head Grande Ocean Marriott
The South Pool is one of the two pools that are oceanfront at the Grande Ocean resort. The other is the North Pool. The main advantage of visiting the South Pool is its location, right beside Loggerhead Landing (pool bar and grill). Seating on the sun deck that overlooks the ocean is a wonderful reason to visit and stay by the South Pool as well.
North Pool
The North Pool is another great option if you want to sit by the pool and overlook the ocean. Typically, a little less crowded than the South Pool because it does not have a Bar or Eating option nearby. It is still a great pool with plenty of seating and great sundeck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Dolphin Pool
Lagoon style with multiple areas to break away from play, the Dolphin Pool is the largest outdoor pool at the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort. Beautifully landscaped around the pool, with plenty of seating, the Dolphin pool is a great family option. A small children's pool is nearby and a nice hot tub is also available for the adults to enjoy. Be sure to head over to The Dolphin Grille to grab some great lunch or dinner and take a drink back to your poolside lounge chair and enjoy the day in the sun.
Heated Outdoor Lap Pool
A smaller pool is located on the north side away from the beach area. The Heated Outdoor lap pool is a favorite location if you want something a little quieter. It is also wonderful to get in, early in the morning and get a good workout swimming your daily laps.
Indoor Heated Pool
Any time of year, you can get some pool time in because the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort has an enclosed, heated pool. The indoor pool is not huge but is large enough to be a lap pool. When it is cool at night, cold in the winter or the weather is bad, it sure is nice to have a heated indoor pool.
Hot Tubs
Multiple hot tubs are located around the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort.
