With over 100 miles of bike paths on Hilton Head Island, it just makes sense to look into the Marriott Grande Ocean Bike Rentals. Located near the spa, as you walk through the garage area, you will find the bike rental spot. Plenty of bikes to rent for the whole family. Bikes can be rented by the day or by the week. If you are staying in Hilton Head for a full week, it is highly recommended to get your bike for the full length of your stay and explore outside of the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort. The family will love the adventure and it is a great way to build memories on your visit.
Bike Trails in Hilton Head
Exploration is part of the fun of having a bike in Hilton Head. As you leave the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort, take a right and head up to Coligny Plaza. Coligny Plaza is about a .8 mile ride (one way) and it is a staple in the events you want to take in during your stay. Great little shops entice you in with fun beach attire and souvenirs. Plenty of food options are also available where you can eat inside or outside and enjoy the foot traffic as it passes by. Across the street, you will also find the Coligny Beach Park lined with swings and fun things to do with the kids. This area is public beach access with a lot of people around but many find it a great place to stop and visit.
Sea Pines Pass
At the time we added this page exploring the Bike Rental options at the Marriott Grande Ocean Resort, they are offering free passes to Sea Pines Plantation. This is a huge plus in our book as there are many miles of great bike paths in the Sea Pines and a lot of fun things to do. Without this pass, you would have to pay for each day you enter Sea Pines.

Harbour Town Bike Ride from the Marriott Grande Ocean
Sea Pines is a great place to visit when staying at the Marriott Grande Ocean. The entrance to Sea Pines is about .75 miles from the resort. Take a left and head down S Forest Beach Road until you get to the guard shack. From here, you might want to take a 3-mile bike ride to Harbour Town. Just across from the famed Harbour Town PGA Golf Course, Hole #18, you will see the iconic Lighthouse that stands in the background. Boats & Yachts fill the marina where you can walk through and do some shopping and have a wonderful bite to eat.
Another place to visit when biking through Sea Pines is the Salty Dog Cafe. Located at the toe of Hilton Head is South Beach where you will find the Salty Dog Cafe and the South Beach Marina. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are served at the Salty Dog and it is also a great place to pick up a souvenir. Take a kayak rental out from the South Beach Marina and explore the Broad Creek. You will be amazed at all of the fun you will have riding your bike through Sea Pines.
Riding on the Beach
The Beaches on Hilton Head Island, especially the Atlantic Ocean side, are perfect for walking and riding a bike. The sand closest to the water is hard-packed and easy to ride on. Take the 12-mile trek along the beach and explore many of the locations along the way. Just don’t forget, however far you ride down the beach, you will have to turn around and ride back. This is very important when you have kids riding along.
