Fun things to do at the Community Park at Shelter Cove
Located off of Shelter Cove Lane, behind Hilton Head’s Shelter Cove Town Centre, you will find the Shelter Cove Community Park. Overlooking Broad Creek, the views are spectacular as you walk through the event lawn. This large open area with a covered pavilion is a central point on the island for amazing events. Continuously, through the summer, you can find events such as; concerts, food festivals, movie nights, and even fun Sunset Celebrations at Shelter Cove Park.

Parking
Parking is free at the Shelter Cove Community Park. There are plenty of parking spaces along Shelter Cove Lane as you drive along the park’s edge. Since the park is behind the Towne Centre, you will also find additional parking around the shops and restaurants.
Walking Paths
Take a stroll through the park end enjoy the beauty of this open area. The event lawn offers a large green space to enjoy with your family when events are not being held at the park. A walking path wraps around the entire park from the covered pavilion on one end to the kid’s playground and restrooms on the other. Sitting and taking in the birds and wildlife in Broad Creek is part of the fun of being at Shelter Cove Park.
Playground
Kids love the playground at the Shelter Cove Community Park. This large space is on the far left side of the park when looking at Broad Creek. Plenty of space for your little ones to run, climb and play on the two fort-like structures Slides add to the fun and adventure. Before getting to the main, straight path on the boardwalk that leads over the marsh and through covered trees, you will find a large playground on your right. Kids will have a blast on this playground with multiple swings for little ones, clinging areas, and even a couple of slides.
Benches and Seating around the park
Benches and other seating are located around the Shelter Cove Community Park. Placed in perfect locations to give you a rest from walking or to take in the views of the park and Broad Creek. Take a seat and relax while enjoying your moments on Hilton Head Island.
Picnic Tables
Find a picnic table at the park and enjoy time out with your special someone. Or, take the kids to the park and show them the beautiful views of Broad Creek and let them play on the playground after having your picnic together.
