Beautiful paths and raised walkways lead you around the pristine grounds or the Marriott’s Surfwatch in Hilton Head. Tall Oak Trees and Palms, along with amazing landscaping places you in a small section of Paradise while staying in one of the 2 or 3 Bedroom Suites at the Marriott Surfwatch Resort. Two outdoor pools are ready for your enjoyment, one of which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and has a wooden walking path that takes you to the beach. An indoor pool is also available and is great when the weather is not the best. Bike rentals are an option and with over 60 miles of bike trails in Hilton Head, this is the preferred method of getting around and learning about the Island.
2 & 3 Bedroom Villas
You will NOT be stuck in a tiny hotel room when you stay at the Marriott’s Surfwatch. All of the rooms are Villas with a choice of two (2) or three (3) bedroom options. Each of these villas comes with a full kitchen with all of the pots, pans, dishes, and cookware for all of your cooking needs. The main family space is broken up into a dining area and living space with an at-home type of feeling that will help you to feel very comfortable during your visit. An added private laundry room with a washer and dryer is also a nice touch. Many of the Villas have a view of the lake in the middle of the property but some have an Ocean view. If the Oceanview is important, be sure to request this when making your Reservation.

Pros:
Looking at the TripAdvisor Reviews of the Marriott SurfWatch Resort, you see a high number of positive guests. Two and Three Bedroom Villas have great views, even if you are looking at the Courtyard or Pond, the lush grounds are so inviting. There are also a few Villas that have Ocean views but you will want to ask for one of these when making your reservations. Staying at an Oceanfront resort is convenient with walks to the Atlantic Coast. Outdoor pools are nice and the kids enjoyed the small kid's pool. The Hot Tub is huge. Lunch and Dinner at the Oceanside Pool were great. Renting bikes was easy and was the best part of the trip.
Cons:
There are very few negative's when you look at the reviews but let's visit the few that were mentioned. The pool at the Oceanside is pretty small and the seating is tight. If you want some privacy, the Cabanas are a good option at this pool. There are a few times that guests also talk about the elevator not working. Fun Things to Do at the Marriott SurfWatch
While the Marriott’s SurfWatch Resort might not be as large as some of the other Marriott Hilton Head Resorts, it still has a large number of things to do. Walking through the courtyard you will see shuffleboard, cornhole, horseshoes and even a sand volleyball court for guests to enjoy.
Bikes are one of the best ways of getting around Hilton Head and the Bike rental shop is located in the covered garage at the Marriott SurfWatch. Get a bike for the day or for the week and start your adventure around the 60 plus miles of Bike trails that wrap around Hilton Head Island.
There are two outdoor pools for the adults and larger kids as well as 2 shallow children’s pools to play in. An indoor heated pool is also an option if you want to get out of the sun or bad weather.
Pets
Pets are not allowed. Service animals are also welcome.
