Walking Path at Islanders Beach Park

The walking path is a beautiful raised boardwalk that takes you through the trees of Hilton Head until you get to the opening views of the sand and ocean. The path starts at the parking lot with steps and a gently sloping ramp to start your journey along this 365-foot boardwalk to the coast.

As you reach the top of the steps, you can access a large public bathroom building, seating areas, and outdoor showers. Making your way to the end of the boardwalk, a ramp eases you down to the sand, where you will have a mat to more easily get across the white powdery sand and step foot on the main beach area. Having this mat makes it much easier for wheelchairs and other wheeled devices, like beach carts, to make it across the soft sand.
