As you are looking at the Forest Beach Rentals Hilton Head Island, it is good to know that there are two (2) main sections that make up this area in Hilton Head. To the East of Coligny Beach Park are the North Forest Beach Rentals and to the west of Coligny Beach Park are the South Forest Beach Rentals. Each of these locations in Forest Beach have their own benefits so let’s take a closer look.

So, what is the big difference between North and South Forest Beach

As far as the actual beachfront goes, there is not much difference in the North or South stay at Forest Beach in Hilton Head. Forest Beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean side of Hilton Head. Spanning from the Beach House in the Shipyard Plantation to the Ocean Gate of Sea Pines, this nearly 3-mile stretch of sand is a premier spot to vacation.

North Forest Beach starts at the Coligny Beach Park and spans to the East until you get to the Beach House at Shipyard Plantation. Made up mostly of single-family homes, the rentals are some of the best on the island outside of a gated community.

On the other hand, South Forest Beach starts on the west side of Coligny Beach Park and goes all the way to the lower gate at Sea Pines Plantation. Villas, Hotels and Resorts make up the first half of South Beach with less expensive places to stay on or off the Beach. The second half of South Forest Beach is mainly made up of homes. Some of these homes are on the beach and others are within walking distance.

Forest Beach is not a Gated Community

Although you will find many of the Rentals in Hilton Head behind a gated community, Forest Beach is not behind a gate. Many do not feel this is an issue at all because of the premiere beauty Hilton Head offers everywhere you turn. If you are looking to stay in one of the gated communities, there are a number of them around the Forest Beach area.
