Disney Hilton Head Map
Tucked away along Broad Creek, the Disney Hilton Head Map shows just how tranquil its location really is. While looking at the Mao of the Disney Hilton Head Resort, you will notice that it is connected to Shelter Cove by a bridge. Surrounding one side of this amazing place is a marina full of beautiful boats and yachts. Each of the Villas has beautiful views of the lush grounds that surround the Disney Hilton Head property.
Palmetto Dunes Plantation
As you drive down the William Hilton Parkway (SR-278), you will see your turn on King Neptune Way to get to the entrance of the Hilton Head Disney Resort. If you look across the street as you turn in, you will see the entrance to the Palmetto Dunes Resort. Although Shelter Cove is on the opposite side of SR-278, it is part of the Palmetto Dunes Resort. It is interesting to note that the Disney Beach House, where you have Oceanfront Access is located in the Palmetto Dunes Resort.
Getting to the Disney Beach House
One thing you will notice when you look at the Map around Disney’s Resort in Hilton Head is that it is not on the Beach. For most guests, this can be overlooked due to the many fun things to do at the Disney Resort. However, the Disney Beach House sits on 3.5 acres of prime Beachfront property in Palmetto Dunes.
Transportation options and times
- Shuttle: 1.4 miles – 5 to 10 minutes
- Bike Ride: 1.4 miles – 8 to 12 minutes
- Walking: 1.4 miles – 20 to 25 minutes
Disney provides a shuttle to take you from the resort to the beach house and continuously runs throughout the day. Typically, the shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 10 AM to 5 PM but these times can change. Be sure to check with Guest Services for the Shuttle Schedule. Other options would be to walk or ride your bikes through Palmetto Dunes to the Beach House. The Beach House is about 1.4-miles away so if you are carrying a lot of beach items, the shuttle might be the best option.

Exploring Hilton Head from the Disney Resort
It will become apparent, as soon as you enter the roads of Hilton Head Island that people get around a little different here. Even as you drive down the William Hilton Highway, families are riding bikes on wide paths that flow with the traffic beside you. Each of the bike paths is separate from the roadways so they are very safe indeed.
It is an exciting and fun way to see the island though. Disney Hilton Head Bike Rental comes in handy once you have settled in. Near the Big Dipper Pool you will find an array of Adult and Child bikes to rent by the hour or for your entire stay.
Hilton Head Island has over 100 miles of bike trails to explore. Riding your bike gives you a unique perspective and allows you to slow down your pace while enjoying the fun. This is also a great way to spend quality time with your family and make some great memories.
