The Barony Beach Club by Marriott is in a great location on Hilton Head Island with direct access to the beach via a walkway directly off of the back of the Resort. Rooms
One thing to understand about the Barony Beach Club is that it is not your standard Resort. Being a Vacation Club property, there are no standard hotel rooms at Marriott Barony Beach. They do offer 2-Bedroom Luxurious Villas with all of the comforts of home. Each villa comes with a Master Bedroom with a King Bed, the 2nd Bedroom with two (2) queen beds, a full kitchen, private laundry, and a wonderful balcony. All of the Villas have the same layout but they are differentiated by the view. The most expensive and wanted view is of course the Oceanfront Villas but you can stay in one of the Courtyards, or Garden View Villas and save a little on your stay.

Pros:
With fairly high above-average ratings, the Barony Beach Club meets expectations for most of its guests. Since this is a Vacation Club property, you might see some reviews from Owners and others from guests renting through Marriott and other 3rd party hotel sites. Guests really like the beauty of the grounds, the outdoor play spaces, multiple pools, and direct access to the beach. The 2 Bedroom Villas are well equipped with a full kitchen, living, and dining area. Also, having 2 bathrooms sure does make it nice when getting ready, especially if you have 6 guests in one Villa. There are plenty of fun things to do like kayaking and biking.
Cons:
Some of the guests mentioned that it would have been nice if all of the pools were heated. Hilton Head SC does get cold in the Winter so having an Indoor Pool is nice but heating the outdoor pools would be great as well. There were a few guests that mention the location of some of the Villas and how far it is to walk to the Oceanfront Pool and the Beach. This is certainly something to consider for anyone who has difficulty getting around. You can always request a room closer to the Ocean when you make your reservation if this is a concern.

Fun Things to Do at Barony Beach Club Resort
Many of the guests love the access to the three (3) pools at the Barony Beach Club and the kids really enjoy the splash park but there is so much to do when visiting the island of Hilton Head. First of all, this Resort is just a few steps away from the pristine beaches and the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. Spend some time on the beach, play bocce ball or take a float out on the ocean waves. All of this is great fun for couples on a romantic getaway or for family time spent together and making memories.
Hilton Head is known for amazing outdoor adventures. Rent bikes for the day and start exploring. You will find so many beautiful places, you will want to explore even more. Hook up with a kayak rental company and take some kayaks out to explore the Hilton Head creeks and waterways. Look for dolphins along the way and you will have a chance to get some great pictures on your journey.

Pets are not allowed at the Hilton Head Barony Beach Club by Marriott. Service animals are also welcome.
Parking
Self-Parking is included with your stay. There is not a Valet Parking Option. RV’s and trailers are not allowed.

Fitness is an important start to your day and the Marriott Barony Beach Club has a Fitness Center open 24 hours a day for guests. Rent a kayak and go out on a water adventure tour, renting bikes is also a great way to get exercise and learn about all of the great places to visit while on the island.
